Dollar General Names Jason Reiser as Executive Vice President and Chief Merchandising Officer

Reiser brings over 30 years of retail experience to Dollar General
GOODLETTSVILLE, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
Dollar General Corporation (NYSE:DG) today announced that Jason Reiser
will join the Company as executive vice president and chief
merchandising officer effective, July 12. Reiser replaces Jim Thorpe who
recently retired. Reiser brings more than 30 years of experience in
retail management, private brand sourcing, regulatory affairs as well as
being a trained pharmacist.

Reiser most recently served as executive vice president and chief
operating officer at the Vitamin Shoppe where he had responsibility for
merchandising, operations and supply chain. Prior to that, he served as
the chief merchandising officer at Family Dollar from 2013 to 2016.
Reiser started his retail career as a pharmacy manager for Walmart. From
there, he rose through the ranks to positions of increasing
responsibility. He served as vice president, merchandising, health and
family care for Sam’s Club from 2010 to 2013
Reiser earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from
Northeastern University.
